Well I will be attending a camp until the 6th, so blog posts will be nonexistent for those days, and yes, I will be missing the US release of Pikmin 3 which tears me apart, but I promise first impressions and a review by the end of August.
Also, my school resumes classes on the 14th of August, so I am going to have to see how often I can blog while doing all of my homework/extracurricular activities. So everybody have a good week and BUY PIKMIN 3 because it will be great.

NUMBER ONE: GENERATION IV
SORRY FOR THE DELAY I WAS PLAYING PIKMIN 1 ON MY GAMECUBE!
Anyways... that's right ladies and gentlebros, Pokemon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum are the clear victors of the best generation of Pokemon games awards. But why?
Not only does gen 4 have the best designed Pokemon, but also the greatest legendary Pokemon, the second best region, and the most memorable characters. YOU HAVE YOUR OWN VILLA! Only in Platinum, but nonetheless... it's freaking awesome.
Oh yeah, Diamond and Pearl also were the games that made the huge transition from Game Boy to DS. That was huge in terms of touch screen controls and introducing online play.\
So there you have it, Generation 4 of Pokemon is the best. But what do you think is the best? Let me know in the comments below.

NUMBER TWO: GENERATION III
That's right ladies and gentlemen. Your number two generation is generation three. Pokemon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald. This game in addition to holding AMAZING legendary Pokemon and THE best region, also introduced three things that without, Pokemon would not be the same. Generation III introduced natures and abilities, allowing the same Pokemon to be different statistically and overall. Gen three also introduced double battles. Which is HUGE. To this day, the Pokemon World Championships are held in double battle format, thanks Gen 3!
But what I said earlier, AMAZING legendary Pokemon: Kyogre, Groudon, and Rayquaza. These guys are amazing! I mean, just look at their story: Groudon and Kyogre fought for years and years in an epic fight: land vs. sea when finally Rayquaza comes in and tells them both to shut up and stop fighting! Also, all three have special abilities, held by no other Pokemon, that affect the weather.
And the BEST region hands down. One of the cities requires that you dive underwater and then resurface a few hundred feet ahead. How cool is that? FREAKIN COOL! THATS HOW COOL!
So how could this possible be beaten??? Come here tomorrow for all of my reasoning.

NUMBER THREE: GENERATION V
The most recent addition to the Pokemon RPGs are Pokemon Black and White (1 and 2). This was my first Pokemon adventure, I had played other games, but this was the first one I had ever payed for/owned. But in addition to that special attachment, these games were loaded with cool features. The C-Gear is without a doubt the most advanced form of trading/battling in any generation. Also, the PWT (Pokemon World Tournament) is the greatest thing to ever grace any of the Pokemon games.
The Pokemom aren't too shabby either, the thing I really got attached to is the region. I love this region for some reason... I don't know what it is... It's just different. One of the areas is a sewer! How great is that? Anyways, make sure to come back tomorrow for the big reveal of #2! But who will the grand winner be??? Gen III or IV???

NUMBER FOUR: GENERATION II
Yep. The immediate successor to Generation I takes the spot for Number 4 on this list. As I stated yesterday, this generation had more good-looking Pokemon, and the legendary Pokemon are truly epic. Don't get me wrong, Mewtwo is a pretty cool Pokemon but I found myself getting more attached to Ho-Oh and Lugia.
Besides the better Pokemon, Gen II doubled the size of the previous game's region, since this game included both Kanto and Johto. It also introduced breeding, two new types: dark and steel, and the infamous Pokerus disease.
With all of these new additions, Gold and Silver clearly beat out its predecessor with ease, but what could have beaten out these games? Visit this website tomorrow to see what stole the number three spot on the list.

NUMBER 5: GENERATION I
Number Five on the list is going to be taken by Generation I: Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow versions. This game and number four were in a tight competition for this spot, but the other gen simply had more features and more well designed Pokemon. "But Jacob", you complain, "what about the nostalgia? Generation I was a classic, it should be way higher!" Sorry guys, but number four simply has more cool Pokemon, a better region, and some cooler legendary Pokemon.
However, Generation I does hold four of my top five Pokemon of all time, those being:
#4 - Gengar
#3 - Victreebel
#2 - Lapras
#1 - Bulbasaur
But it is also home to Mr.Mime and zombie, Parasect.
Overall, it is a great generation, and was definitely a great start to an epic franchise, but other generations had better Pokemon and better regions, so make sure to come back tomorrow for Number 4 to be revealed.
