I'm a liar, Merry Christmas, GOTYs, baby!

Yeah, yeah, I'm late again but what fun is it being on time? I actually have an excuse this time, as I was waiting to play Titanfall 2 and Uncharted 4 so I could properly rank my GOTYs, and now that I have, BEHOLD... also, Merry Christmas to all

5. Pokemon Sun and Moon

Of course Pokemon was going to make it into the top five! Who do you think I am? Sun and Moon could possibly be the best generation of Pokemon yet, offering new twists on the Pokemon format such as the absence of gyms and the presence of Ultra Beasts, while providing enough nostalgia through Alolan forms of generation one monsters and returning characters. All in all, a lengthy adventure in a pleasant region.

4. Civilization VI

After all these years, Civilization keeps finding a way to retain just enough mechanics and features while introducing new ways to play to keep the game fresh and fun, playthrough after playthrough. Civ VI features the most robust experience to date with the addition of a Civics Tree, City Districts, and a unique art style that all come together for one masterpiece.

3. Overwatch

Unpopular opinion? I don't think Overwatch is fun. But there is no doubt in anyone's mind that Blizzard's newest offering has been wildly successful and has already established an eSports presence as well as... comics? Hokay, Overwatch. This game is sure to have a lengthy lifespan due to its eSports status as well as continued support for new characters.

2. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End

Popular opinion? Uncharted 4 is incredible. No, stupendous. No, magnificent. It's tough to put in words how great of a franchise Uncharted is and has been. It has this gift for storytelling unlike any I've seen in video games. Nathan Drake is in retirement, but not for long as he comes out for just one more adventure. And, I don't think there could have been a better send-off. Pacing is good, as is the storytelling component, and the graphics. Oh, the graphics. Just so damn good. A gem of a game that is fit for the final chapter of PlayStation's best exclusive.

Aaaaaand I'm a dick and I'm gonna make you wait a little bit for number one. Just because. See you then, kcduckling out.
